Bernard IPL - India Pale Lager - Limited Time Only

Lovers of bitter beer can look forward to the novelty of the Bernard Family Brewery. It has launched a type of beer that it hasn't offered before - India Pale Lager, called IPL. But beware, the new special was brewed in limited quantities only. 

Bernard IPL is a typical bottom-fermented beer, but the aromatic hops used, such as Agnus, Amarillo and Citra, are usually used for top-fermented IPAs . Citra hops are noticeable in the aroma and taste, but a stronger, deliciously lingering bitterness is characteristic. The Bernard IPL comes with 60 IBUs, a regular lager has around 35 units. With 5% alcohol content, it is of similar strength as the Bernard 12 pale lager which makes this a beer that can be enjoyed all evening. 

Bernard IPL was brewed in limited quantities only. For now, it is available until stock lasts but who knows, maybe it will make it into the regular Bernard brewery offering.
